Salman Butt and Yasir Hameed hit half centuries and Pakistan beat World Cup runner-up Sri Lanka by 98 runs on Sunday to claim the three-match Warid Cup series.
Pakistan posted imposing 313 for nine in the allotted 50 overs, and then dismissed Sri Lanka for 215 in 39.5 overs to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
The final match of the one-day series will be played on Tuesday.
Butt and Hameed sparked Pakistan with an entertaining 98-run stand for the second wicket off 100 deliveries before both fell in successive overs to legspinner Malinga Bandara.
Bandara had the two caught and bowled to finish with three for 56 off his 10 overs.
Butt led with an 81-ball 74 studded with 11 fours, while Hameed hit for 50 off 53 deliveries, including seven boundaries.
Pakistan, who won the first match by five wickets on Friday, consolidated its sound start with the middle and lower order chipping in with useful contributions.
Sri Lanka already without key players Muthiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas and Kumar Sangakkara, also played without experienced opener Sanath Jayasuriya and strike bowler Lasith Malinga.
Skipper Mahela Jayawardene led Sri Lanka with 61 off 69 deliveries, including a half dozen fours and a six. – Sapa-AP
