The wife of slain theatre personality Taliep Petersen appeared with three men in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, charged with his murder.
Petersen was shot in his Cape Town home in December last year.
In the dock were his wife, Najwa, as well as Abdoer Emjedi, Waheed Hassen and Jefferson Snyders.
They have been charged with what the state claims was a ”planned and/or premeditated” murder.
The state claims the offence was committed by ”a person, groups of person [or syndicate] acting in the execution of furtherance of a common purpose or conspiracy”.
They are also being charged with robbery.
The state is currently opposing a bid for a bail application to be heard immediately. — Sapa
