Springbok centre Jean De Villiers will not be travelling with the team to Ireland and Scotland for pre-Rugby World Cup games due to an injury to his side.
The injury sustained during the Namibia game in Cape Town means he will stay at home to recover under the supervision of the Springbok medical team.
De Villiers will join the Springbok camp in Johannesburg on August 31 before the team flies out to France on September 3.
Coach Jake White said the player is being given a chance to recover ahead of the tournament in France next month. No decision has been taken yet on the replacement for the Ireland and Scotland tour. — Sapa
