A teenage girl wrote a note with the names of three youths who stabbed her before she died in Queenstown’s Frontier Hospital, police said on Wednesday.
However, police have not yet arrested any of the youths who attacked Thandisiwe Ncane (17) as she was walking with her friends on Tuesday at Aloevale.
Police spokesperson Inspector Namhla Mdleleni said she and one friend were severely assaulted by the youths. A boy who had been with them ran away.
”The community alerted the police and the girls had to be rushed to Frontier Hospital in Queenstown. They were badly injured on their upper torsos,” he said.
Mdleleni said he would not disclose the name of Ncane’s 18-year-old friend, who survived, as her family had not been informed of the incident. — Sapa
