Telkom chief financial officer Kaushik Patel has resigned, the company announced on Friday.
Acting chief executive Reuben September said Patel would leave Telkom at the end of October ”to pursue his own interests”.
Patel’s responsibilities will be taken over by the company’s current group executive for corporate finance, Deon Fredericks, in an acting role from November 1 until a new chief financial officer was appointed.
The company thanked Patel for his contribution and wished him well in his future endeavours.
In April, Telkom chief executive Papi Molotsane quit after 18 months in the job with the company, giving no reason for his resignation.
September then took over as acting CEO.
Molotsane has reportedly been the target of criticism from shareholders over his leadership of the company.
On March 13, the fixed-line telecommunication giant announced the resignation of its chief technical officer, Thami Msimango.
Msimango, who joined the company in 1984, resigned to pursue other career opportunities in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.
A week before, on March 6, Telkom announced the resignation of its chief sales and marketing officer, Wallace Beelders — also to further his career in the ICT sector.
