Muziwendoda Kunene, the man caught up in the hoax-email saga, had his attempted murder case postponed on Monday.

Kunene appeared in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court ion the morning for allegedly shooting his 24-year-old son, Msebenzi Kunene.

The alleged shooting took place on November 12 when Kunene apparently shot his son through the ear, with the bullet exiting his mouth. His son was not in court on Monday.

The case was postponed to December 10 for further investigation.

Magistrate Allan Cowan ordered the state and police to ensure Kunene’s safety at the Attridgeville police station where he will be held. This was after he told the court that he feared for his safety.
