Matriculant in stable condition after shooting

A top Pretoria matriculant who was shot and injured during a robbery was in a stable condition in hospital on Thursday.

Razelle Botha was under intensive care and more X-rays were planned for Thursday to check the damage in her spine, Ronel Leyds, spokesperson for Pretoria East Hospital said.

Botha and her father Willem were shot and injured by robbers at her Moreleta Park home on Monday.

She received eight distinctions from Waterkloof High School last year.

A laptop and camera were stolen.

Police spokesperson Captain Collette Weilbach said that no arrests had yet been made but a statement would be taken from Botha’s father once he was discharged from hospital later on Thursday.

Police appealed for information on the robbery to be given to Captain Koekemoer on 082 822 8290. — Sapa
