Cops investigate dancer’s murder

Pretoria police investigating the murder of Pretoria dancer Estee van Rensburg asked the public on Thursday to help them find the silver Toyota Tazz that was stolen from her home.

The 19-year-old ballet dancer was found dead in her home when her domestic worker reported for work on Wednesday morning.

She was shot in the head. The Tazz and a television set were stolen.

Anyone with information on the vehicle, which carried registration plates NNS243GP, should contact police on 08600 10111.

The Times reported that Estee had been due to dance in a production entitled Reflections at the State Theatre. It was dedicated to a young Pretoria teenager who was left paralysed after being shot at his home.

She also previously choreographed a dance piece about an armed robbery she and her father survived three years ago. — Sapa
