Dogs savage KwaZulu-Natal man

A 38-year-old man is in a serious condition in a KwaZulu-Natal hospital after both his ears and genitals were ripped off by dogs in Empangeni, paramedics said on Friday.

Yusuf Kruger, spokesperson for the privately-owned Mounties Ambulance Service, said the incident took place on Hancock Avenue at 4pm on Thursday.

The victim was attacked by three dogs when he entered a property while job hunting.

”Both his ears and his genitals were ripped off and he also had bite marks on his face,” said Kruger.

”Doctors at Ngwelezana Hospital are really concerned about this man,” he said.

The breed of the dogs was not immediately known.

Kruger said the animals had not yet been put down. – Sapa
