Former South Africa cricketer Garth le Roux and his accountant were on Friday convicted of tax fraud.
The finding, by a Wynberg regional magistrate, came at the end of a trial that has been running since September 2006.
Le Roux was convicted on three counts, while the accountant, Deon van Zyl, was convicted on seven.
However, they were acquitted on the bulk of the 28 counts they faced.
The charges dealt mainly with the tax treatment of commissions Le Roux earned as an agent marketing properties at the upmarket Fancourt Golf Estate at George.
Magistrate Jackie Redelinghuys postponed the case to October 27 for sentencing procedures.
Their bail of R10 000 each was extended. — Sapa
