Former Bafana defender Jacob Lekgetho dies

Former Bafana Bafana, Moroka Swallows and Lokomotiv Moscow left back Jacob Lekgetho died in Johannesburg after a long illness.

The South African Football Players’ Union [SAFPU] said on Tuesday it was saddened by the death of Lekgetho, and sent its deepest condolences to his family and friends.

“Bobo”, as his friends knew him, had been a loyal servant of Bafana Bafana until he retired from football. The defender was capped 26 times by Bafana and was part of the team that represented the country at Korea/Japan World Cup in 2002.—Sapa
