Ten motorists were arrested for speeding in the early hours of Saturday morning on the N1 South, Johannesburg metro police said on Sunday.
Spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the motorists were arrested at the Allandale on-ramp in Midrand.
A 37-year-old male motorist, driving a black VW Golf, was caught driving at 223km/h at 3.45am.
“He told the officer he was in a hurry to come home as he was coming from a party in Pretoria,” said Minnaar. - Sapa
