All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw is relishing the prospect of playing alongside the likes of John Smit and Bryan Habana as he prepares for his Barbarians debut against Australia on Wednesday.
Smit will captain the all-star invitational side and McCaw admits it is a special feeling to be alongside players he would normally be competing against.
”Normally we don’t see each other after games, we have to just move on, so being able to sit and have a beer and a yarn without worrying about the pressures of next week is unique,” the world’s leading flanker said on the eve of Wednesday’s match at Wembley.
”Rooming with guys you normally beat the hell out of – or vice versa – is pretty good. And John is a good roomie. His snoring was alright last night!” – Sapa-AFP
