Bag it
Make Christmas tasteful this year with delicious gifts like Burberry Brit Check overnight bag. It sports the tartan trend of the season, but in an understated charcoal and black tone — and because it’s Burberry it carries with it a timeless longevity. It’s across-the-body design makes it easy to carry and gives it a youthful urban appeal. It’s also officially unisex, so it’s the perfect gift for the beauty queen or king who travels light but likes to make a statement when she/he arrives at any destination. Complete with internal pockets and zips. It’s the ultimate luxury gift. — R5 190 Burberry shop @ V&A Waterfront: 021 425 8933

Call me cool
Here’s what you need to know — it’s 115,5mm tall, 62,1mm wide, 12,3mm thick, it weighs in at only 133g and comes in black or white. The Apple iPhone is a great present for a Vodacom Vamp who likes to cause a bit of a stir at lunch dates or meetings when she whips it out of her tote to take a call or capture a moment on its fantastic 2.0 megapixel camera. Its photo storage and sending is brilliant. Its GPS function is perfect for directionless babes and will get any chic commuter to her favourite shopping spot long before the sale starts. Its touch screen functionality is easy and, most importantly, it looks great. — About R7 000 from all Apple Mac stockists and Vodacom nationwide

Girl power
Benefit Cosmetics has grown from a small San Francisco beauty boutique with a sweetshop vibe into one of the friskiest global make-up brands. Creators and identical twin sisters Jean and Jane Ford deliver a dose of know-how and quick fixes for every girl’s beauty dilemma with these enticing and whimsically packaged beauty products. Conceived in the Seventies by these former models for an exotic dancer who requested something to make her nipples look pretty and pink — today Benetint is known as the original rose-coloured cheek and lip tint — but you can use it anywhere! Make-up artists love this product and it’s now available at Woollies. Check out the funky Christmas gift packs or choose your own personalised selection. — R350 for a gift pack. What was your best Christmas?
Last year, on holiday in Durban, at my brother’s home with my sisters (who live abroad) and all our kids. It was a family-bonding Christmas — barefoot and running in the garden, playing with the kids in 35°C heat and loving it.

What will you do this year?
I’m going on safari with my family.

What was the best Christmas gift you got?
A kitten when I was six years old.

What do you want this year?
Love and laughter with my family and friends — the things that are most valuable and that money can’t buy … and maybe as a gift to myself, a pair of hot gladiator sandals to wear with shorts on sexy summer days. — BR
