There was still uncertainty on Monday over the death of Melanie Wallner, a South African woman who lived in the United Kingdom.
Wallner’s body was found in a wheelie-bin in Cobham, Surrey, about two weeks ago. Authorities there said that her body had been frozen.
According to the South African, ”Her body was found outside the recently vacated house that her former husband, Peter Wallner, had been renting for the past few years with his new wife, Lilia Fenech.”
The Mail Online says that Melanie Wallner may have been killed three years before her body was discovered. ”A post-mortem on the body had been ‘inconclusive as to probable cause of death’, police said, but signs of a serious head injury were found.”
Peter has been charged with her murder between August 1 2006 and June 6 2009.
Reports say it was Peter who had notified Melanie’s friends and family of her death in 2006.
Authorities are trying to trace friends and former colleagues of Melanie in order to piece together events leading to her death. The contact person is DCI Maria Woodall of the Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222 (UK number).
