Three convicted for murder of Emily Williams

Three men have been convicted for the murder of 12-year-old Emily Williams, the South African Broadcasting Corporation reported on Friday.

Innocent Siphiwe (28), David Nathi Busi (29) and Shadrack Shawe (33) appeared in the South Gauteng High Court on Friday.

The court handed down guilty verdicts for each of the accused on all seven counts ranging from murder and attempted murder to house robbery.

Emily was hit by a stray bullet during a shoot-out between house robbers and security guards in Johannesburg’s Fairland suburb in February 2008.
