Zen and the art of website design: M&G is hiring

What do designing websites and toppling governments have in common? You can do them both at the Mail & Guardian Online.

The M&G Online is now searching for a senior web designer who will take charge of the design aspect of our websites.

The successful candidate will also be working on our interactive Flash guides, as well as pretty much anything we throw at them.

Benefits include working with the country’s crack journalists on what is most certainly the paper that puts more politicians and crooked politicians off their breakfast than any other.

As well as a pleasant working environment in Rosebank, Johannesburg — home of the R50 sandwich — there’s also a Seattle coffee outlet at the garage across the road. Hey, it’s not Google, okay.

Candidates will obviously need excellent web and interface design skills and the ability to deliver creative solutions, ie, it’s got to work.

Apply early, and we’ll toss in one free government.
