Newly crowned British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen headlines the field at the Scandinavian Masters starting on Thursday
Just three days after his stunning victory at St. Andrews, the South African said on Wednesday that his first major win was still sinking in.
Oosthuizen said the opportunity to play another tournament so soon afterward gives him a chance to maintain his momentum and an
excuse to turn off his phone, which has been ringing non-stop since Sunday.
Oosthuizen faces tough competition in Sweden from defending champion Ricardo Gonzalez of Argentina.
There’s also a strong Swedish contingent for the home crowd to cheer on, with two-time champion Jesper Parnevik and Qatar Masters winner Robert Karlsson playing. — Sapa
