South Africa’s producer inflation slowed to 6,8% year-on-year in September from 7,8% in August, official data showed on Thursday.
Statistics South Africa said on a monthly basis PPI, which represents domestic output, was at -4,1% compared with 0,4% in August.
Exported commodities inflation quickened to 7,6% year-on-year in September from 7,2% the previous month, while imported commodities inflation was at 0,7% year-on-year from 2,1%. — Reuters
