Eat, drink, shop

Eat

Artlogic, the group that succesfully invented the Joburg Art Fair, has engineered a new concept aimed at festive-season shoppers, called Food, Wine, Design.

From November 26 to 28 Artlogic intends transforming the roof of Johannesburg’s Hyde Park shopping centre into an emporium for fine food products, wine and well-designed implements.

In consultation with the companies Source, the Neighbourgoods Market and The Good Value Guru, a curatorial team has been built up to present what is considered the best of South African handmade products.

Special projects for the event include a presentation of Boardmans’ new Welcome Home Collection as well as a launch of a special design project by PG Bison for 2011 called the sixoneeight competition.

Landscaping for the event will be done by the company Earth, under the guidance of Greg Straw. Artlogic has also facilitated a collaboration called Wood on Paper by artist Willem Boshoff, furniture designer James Mudge and the Gallery Art on Paper.
