South Africa’s producer inflation slowed to 6,2% year-on-year (y/y) in November from 6,4% in October, official data showed on Wednesday.
Statistics South Africa said on a monthly basis PPI, which represents domestic output, was at 0,7% compared with -0,4 percent in October.
A Reuters poll of 13 economists saw PPI slowing to 5,95% year-on-year in November and quickening to 0,4% monthly.
Exported commodities inflation also braked to 6,2 percent year-on-year in November from 6,6% the previous month, while imported commodities inflation slowed to 0,5 percent year-on-year from 1,3%. — Reuters
