Jo’burg music picks: December 27 to January 6

Jo’burg is winding down for Christmas and New Year’s Eve so there’s not much on the go. What is on offer, however, makes for interesting pickings.

Top choices for New Year’s Eve are the Tuks FM show at the Voortrekker Monument (Die Anwoord at The VM, you know?!) or Braai Master DJ Bob’s 206 New Years bash at the Bassline.

And then there’s always the H2O at Wild Waters on January 1 if that’s your thing. The live tunes should get going again by mid-January, with the highlights of the month undoubtedly being the appearance of Grammy award winning, multi-instrumentalist, Imogen Heap at Emperors Palace on January 29 and 30 as well as Judith Sephuma on January 29 at the Lyric.
