South Africa’s coal exports rose to 63,43-million tons in 2010 from 61,14-million tons the previous year, the Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) said on Tuesday.
“The significant changing factor is the major economic development happening in China and India, requiring more electrical power and coal inputs into their major factories,” chief executive Raymond Chirwa said in a statement.
