It’s that time of the year again. Nominate the women you know for the M&G Book of SA Women.
The Mail & Guardian‘s flagship Book of South African Women has become one of the country’s most celebrated hallmarks for its annual profiles of noted and newsworthy women.
With a nomination process that’s open to the public and promoted in the newspaper and website, along with independent research, the M&G editorial team selects women at the top of their field in 10 categories — including arts, business, civil society, environment, media, politics, science and technology, health, education and sport — showcasing up-and-coming women leaders as well as the well-established with quality portraits and illuminating profiles.
A gala event to honour the women chosen is held in Johannesburg every August to kick off Women’s Month.
Our research team scours the country to find noteworthy and newsworthy women to profile each year in the book. But we need your help. Your nominations will assist our editorial board in making the final selection of 100 women. Nominations, including name, contact details and a motivation less than 250 words, can be sent to [email protected].
