MUNICIPAL NOTICE-BOARD
HELP US DEVELOP A SHARED VISION, MISSION AND
LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT PLAN (20 – 50 YEARS)
FOR NELSON MANDELA BAY
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM) is developing a new vision,
mission and long-term development plan (20 – 50 years) to shape an ideal
and prosperous future for the communities of Nelson Mandela Bay. To this
end, the NMBM hereby invites all interested residents, civic groupings,
business chambers, CBOs, NGOs and all other stakeholders to submit inputs
to ensure that we arrive at an inclusive and people-driven vision. This will
also inform the Municipality’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP), which is
currently under revision.
Based on the input received, the NMBM will then draw up a tender
specification, including the scope of work, methodology, skills matrix and
other relevant criteria for the appointment of a suitably qualified company
that will undertake the project management for the development of the vision,
mission and long-term development plan.
The current vision of Nelson Mandela Bay is: “A globally competitive and
preferred city that works together with the people.”
