Relief for motorists: Petrol price to drop on Wednesday

The retail price of petrol will drop by more than 30c a litre on Wednesday, the energy department said on Friday.

The retail price of petrol 93 ULP (unleaded petrol) and LRP (lead replacement petrol) would decrease by 33c a litre.

Petrol 95 ULP & LRP will decrease by 31c a litre.

The price of diesel with a 0.05% sulphur content will decrease by 11c a litre and the price of diesel with 0.005% sulphur content will decrease by 12c a litre.

The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin will decrease by 12c a litre.

The single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin would decrease by 16c a litre. — Sapa
