? Durban-based rapper Abdus headlines a musical mega-bash this weekend. Joining the fiery word-slinger is a fine assortment of local talent in the form of 3rd Brick, Ayanda, Bon Husla, Injinga, Judas, Math, Mexican, Da Nombika and Tabzaratti. Transforming his isiZulu mother tongue with his finely honed raps, the charismatic rapper injects elements of raw hip-hop and rock into his music and lyrics, which are filled with ingeniously groundbreaking wordplay. His legion of fans eagerly await the Abdus debut album titled The Library.

? An exclusive dinner with two of the country’s most exciting jazz acts takes place in one of Durban’s waterfront hotels this weekend. Multitalented vocalist, drummer, percussionist, guitarist, songwriter and producer Ringo Madlingozi is supported by all-female jazz band Heels over Head, with Gagasi FM DJ Phindi Gule hosting the concert to raise funds for Ithembalabantu Clinic in uMlazi.
