Jo’burg theatre pick: July 29 2011

Drama for Life (DFL) was started in 2006 and is hosted by the dramatic art division of the Wits School of Arts.

It is a theatre initiative that researches new ways of dealing with urgent social issues through theatre practice. On July 29 you can join DFL for its annual fundraising event. This year the organisation presents one of its very own patrons, acclaimed satirist Pieter-Dirk Uys, who will perform — for one night only — his classic comedy Adapt or Die, about the foibles of South African politicians.

Market Theatre, 56 Margaret Mcingana Street, Newtown. On July 29 at 8pm. Tickets cost R160 and are available at Computicket. Tel: 011 717 4735 or 011 832 1641.
