Claire Angelique’s first film, My Black Little Heart, dealt with the difficulty of a life dedicated to drug use in Durban. This week the 2010 Standard Bank Young Artist Award- winner for film will screen her new feature film, Palace of Bone, which was well received at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in June.
The film is described as ‘a documentation of the strangely unstable day-to-day life of Faith, a scarred but brazen and quirky 25-year-old”. Palace of Bone was filmed entirely on cellphone. In the plot this is done by Faith’s devoted best friend, Po. The film will be introduced by Angelique, who will answer questions after the screening.
