If pliés and grande jetés are part of your vocabulary, then the Russian ballet is just for you. The Stars of the Moscow Ballet will be performed on stage from October 19 to October 21 at the Pretoria State Theatre, at the Durban Playhouse on October 25 and 26, and between October 28 and October 30 in the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace. The company will move to Grahamstown’s Guy Butler Theatre on November 3, the Port Elizabeth Opera House on November 4 and the East London Guild Theatre on November 5.
Performed by stars from the leading ballet theatre in Moscow — including the Bolshoi Ballet, Moscow Classical Ballet, Russian National Ballet and Moscow Kremlin Ballet — this show promises to take your breath away with its extravagant costumes, intricate composition and classical style.
