Mining Community Development Programme

The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is registered as a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998.

The design and development of mine community programmes is an activity in the business plan of the MQA and is intended to be undertaken as per the targets and indicators set.

The MQA hereby wishes to appoint a competent service provider to conduct a needs analysis and develop the MQA Mining Community Development Programme in accordance with the specified terms of reference. The programme will be utilised by the MQA to facilitate and support the training of selected mining communities in the relevant topics/areas of learning.

Submission of documents and closing date

The prescribed tender and the terms of reference documents will be available from Monday 09 July 2012, from the reception of the MQA offices situated at 4th Floor, Union Corporation Building, 74 – 78 Marshall Street, Marshalltown, Johannesburg.

The tender proposals must be lodged in the tender box situated at the MQA reception by no later than Wednesday, 08 August 2012 at 11H00. Late submissions will not be considered.

Compulsory briefing session

There will be a compulsory briefing session with potential service providers on Thursday, 26 July 2012 from 09H30 to 12H30 at the MQA offices.
