Some of the highlights of Decorex Joburg 2012 include:

The Plascon 2013 Colour Forecast: Designers Laurence Brick, Yvonne O'Brien of The Private House Co, Egg Designs as well as Lisebo Mokhesi from Ink will be interpreting the 2013 colour palette with their installations. Fashion designers Craig Jacobs for Fundudzi, Anisa Mpungwe from Loin Cloth and Ashes, Tiaan Nagel and Lunar will also be using the colours in daily fashion shows.

Design Dialogue: US colour expert and director of the Pantone Colour Institute Leatrice Eiseman will be in South Africa to speak at the Design Dialogue conference happening at the same time as Decorex Joburg. Stephen Falcke, Mark Valentine and Jo Buitendach join her on the Joburg line up. She'll also be speaking in Cape Town and Durban – bookings for the conference online at www.decorex.co.za

Conversations on Architecture: This is a trade-focused conference taking place on Wednesday 8th August. Leading architects from around the world will speak alongside some of South Africa's finest. Look out for Senan Abdelqader from Israel and Lua Nitsche from Brazil. Bookings for this conference on www.decorex.co.za

The M-Net Cares Café: Please don't come to Decorex Joburg without popping a second hand children's book into your bag. Designers like Anatomy, Joe Paine and Goet have designed the bookshelves for this café and once they're full, M-Net will be donating them to the Naledi Children's Literacy Project for the creation of libraries in under-privileged primary schools.

Operation Mercedes-Benz Man Cave: After much success at both Durban and Cape Town Decorex, this manly concept comes to Joburg. Local celebs Jason Greer, Tumiso Masha, Bob Mabena and DJ MoG are being teamed up with designers to kit out the ultimate man space and drive donations for a charity of their choice.
