Infrastructure Development

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION GAUTENG DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE ROSTER

In terms of section 38 of the Public Finance Management Act the accounting officer for a Department must ensure that the department maintains an appropriate procurement and provisioning system which is fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost effective.

Invitation to contractors to apply for registration to be on the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development roster system for the implementation of Construction /Maintenance and related works at institutions.

The threshold for such maintenance will be R0 and R500 000.

Classes of works be applied for are: (Please indicate area of specialty next to the class of works)

RFI- ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING WORKS – BUILDING (EB)

RFI- ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING WORKS – INFRASTRUCTURE (EP)

RFI- GENERAL BUILDING WORKS (GB)

RFI- MECHANICAL ENGINEERING WORKS (ME)

RFI- ALL SPECIALIST WORKS

RFI- PLUMBING MAINTENANCE

Application Forms can be obtained from: Department of Infrastructure Development, Corner house building, 63 Fox street, 14th floor, Mondays to Fridays: 08h00 to 12h00 and 13h00 to 15h00.

Prequalification criteria will be used to assess and grade service providers per chosen category. Service providers may apply for more than one category of service.

Request for information to be completed in full with all the required documentation as listed below to be attached.

Failure to comply with these requirements will invalidate the application: •Company Safety Policy •Environmental Policy •Original Valid Tax Clearance •Copy of GDF vender number •Certified copies of business licence or CK document •Copy of CIDB registration and grading •BBBEE verification certificates •Certified copies of ID of all directors / partners •Proof of plumbing or drain laying certificates •Proof of electrical certification •Request for Information to be signed by a Commissioner of Oath •Structure of the business •Technical professional team within the business.

Please note that background checks may be conducted to validate information provided in the returnable schedules.

Please note that on the envelope – contractor to clearly indicate trade that is being applied for i.e building or electrical maitenance.

Briefing date: 19 September 2012, at 11h00-12h00, 51 Bloed Street (Pretoria regional Office)

Closing date: Friday, 12 October 2012 at 11h00.

All application will be announced at the opening of the tender box and will be published in the tender bulletin as well.

The completed application form and supporting documentation as indicated above is to be deposited in the Tender Box located in the entrance of 63 F0x Street (Conner house building).

The department is not obliged to award the service to the lowest bidder.
