R Kelly Single Ladies tour postponed until August

The Ignition singer’s tour that was set to take place  on March 21 and March 23 has been postponed until August 8 and 10.

Afropulse Entertainment announced that they decided they needed more time to pull together the necessary 'local logistics'.

In a press release, they said: “Both the promoter and R Kelly have agreed to postpone the dates of the Single Ladies Tour in South Africa, from the initially announced dates of 21st and 23rd March 2013 to the 8th and 10th of August 2013.”

Robert Kelly was set to perform at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on March 21 and Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on March 23.

Ticket holders can receive refunds as from Tuesday, March 19 if they do not want to attend the concert in August.

Others will be able to see the I Believe I Can Fly singer in concert using their original tickets.

These are unprecedented times, and the role of media to tell and record the story of South Africa as it develops is more important than ever. But it comes at a cost. Advertisers are cancelling campaigns, and our live events have come to an abrupt halt. Our income has been slashed.
