The country's official opposition, the Democratic Alliance, has embarked on a campaign to prove they are nothing like the apartheid government.
The DA in the Western Cape commissioned research to "expose how the ANC and the National Party governments run [in] parallel". The information will be disseminated to about 600 to 700 delegates who will attend the provincial launch of the party's election campaign in Cape Town. They in turn will use the information to tell the voters how "the ANC is on a journey of the National Party".
On Friday the Mail & Guardian will show the full extent of this campaign – used in the build-up to the general elections next year – which draws parallels between incidents that took place during the ANC's leadership of government and the apartheid regime they once fought against.
M&G reporter Andisiwe Makinana will take your questions about the DA's campaign and show clips and graphics of the new pamphlets.
What do you think about the DA's latest tactic?
