Times Media Scoops Pearson's Share In Bdfm

The group also announced on Tuesday that Peter Bruce will step down as publisher to concentrate on his editor-in-chief role at the newspaper.

Nathi Maramnco, who was recently appointed BDFM's chief operating officer, will take over as publisher of Business Day and Financial Mail, chief executive Andrew Bonamour said on Tuesday. 

"Peter has shouldered a tremendous burden in ensuring both BDFM titles maintain their position as South Africa's leading providers of quality business content while effecting a radical transformation of a bloated and inefficient management structure. The latter process is now complete," Bonamour told staff. 

Maramnco, who previously ran the Times Media circulation department and has been the publisher of the group's eastern Cape titles, such as the Daily Dispatch, will oversee the integration of  the BDFM titles into TMG structures.
