South African boxing legend Jacob "Baby Jake" Matlala has died, Eye Witness News reported on Saturday.
Matlala (51) is a former South African boxer and junior flyweight champion.
He was the shortest boxing world champion ever, at just 1.47 metres.
Matlala held four titles and was the first South African to win belts in different weight divisions.
In 2010, he was sick and was reported to be bankrupt. – Sapa
These are unprecedented times, and the role of media to tell and record the story of South Africa as it develops is more important than ever. But it comes at a cost. Advertisers are cancelling campaigns, and our live events have come to an abrupt halt. Our income has been slashed.
