Two people attending the Deep in the Woods house music festival allegedly had an argument when the one pulled out a gun and fired shots, said Gauteng police spokesperson Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini in a statement on Sunday. 

Three people were wounded. 

The man believed to have fired the shots was also wounded when a police reservist shot at him. “Police in Alberton are investigating three cases of attempted murder following a shooting incident at a concert in Meyers Farm yesterday after 4pm.” 

A 9mm pistol had been seized. A woman had been treated in hospital and discharged. Three people were in a critical condition in hospital. 

One of the wounded is under police guard and would face three charges of attempted murder. –Sapa
