Former ANC spokesperson Jackson Mthembu has been appointed as the ruling party’s new chief whip in Parliament, EWN reported on Tuesday. It quoted secretary general Gwede Mantashe as confirming the appointment. Mthembu will succeed Stone Sizani who quit as chief whip three weeks ago to take up a position as ambassador to Germany. – News24
