GAUTENG MEC FOR HUMAN SETTLEMENTS HALTS EVICTION OF HAMMANSKRAAL RESIDENTS

PRETORIA, May 25 (ANA) – The eviction of Hammanskraal residents who occupied land partly owned by Tshwane municipality and a royal family, has been halted, Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements Paul Mashatile said on Wednesday.

At least two people were killed on Monday when an eviction agency tried to move the squatters.
