ANC councillor collapses and dies at Johannesburg city council’s inaugural meeting

Moments after the nominations were announced for mayor of the Johannesburg city council, an ANC councillor had collapsed and later died.

The councillor, whose identity is not yet known, was seen being removed from the chambers just as the nominations had been called.

The ANC’s Parks Tau and the DA’s Herman Mashaba were nominated for the position of mayor of Johannesburg. – News24
