The ANC announced on Wednesday that a motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma could be heard as early as Thursday.

Party treasurer general Paul Mashatile made the comments at a briefing in Cape Town after the party’s caucus meeting in Parliament.

Mashatile said he was in Parliament to tell the governing party caucus to proceed with processes to remove Zuma from office.
