Eskom said on Wednesday it would implement stage six load-shedding from midday until further notice, citing a high number of breakdowns since midnight, as well as the requirement to strictly preserve the remaining emergency generation reserves.
In a Twitter post, the beleaguered utility said it would publish a full statement “in due course”.
