Holomisa: Mbeki is still an Aids dissident

The gathering, in the UDM’s heartland, was billed as the major rally of the UDM’s election campaign.

Vociferous Kaizer Chiefs fans who came in their droves to the Mmabatho Stadium on Saturday hoping to witness their team’s passage to the quarterfinals of the Absa Cup went back home with their tails between their legs after Ajax Cape Town grabbed a 1-0 win in the lucrative competition.

Rangers maul Durban Stars

Rangers’ vast superiority saw them through to the Absa Cup quarterfinals when they beat Durban Stars 5-2 on Saturday night at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban. The Mighty Maulers’ goals were scored by Keryn Jordan and Alton Meiring, who netted four times. The visitors scored through Pogiso Mokotjo and Lungelo Makhanya.

Swallows advance to last eight

Moroka Swallows advanced to the quarterfinals of the Absa Cup on Saturday by eliminating the Eastern Cape’s Tornado FC 4-0 at Rand Stadium. Swallows coach Gavin Hunt played Gary McNab as a striker and it worked. McNab scored Swallows’ first goal four minutes before the break .

Man United reach FA Cup final

Paul Scholes fired Manchester United into the FA Cup final and ended Arsenal’s hopes of winning the world’s oldest cup competition three years in a row on Saturday as the Reds won 1-0 in a Villa Park semifinal. Scholes struck in the 32nd minute to give United a great chance of adding to their record 10 FA Cups.
