US home prices rose in most cities in October compared with a year ago, pushed up by rising sales and a decline in the supply of available homes.
Average house prices are 15% lower than they were three years ago, according to the FNB House Price Index released on Monday.

There was good news and bad news for house prices, FNB said on Monday when it released its house-price index.
According to Absa’s House Price Index, the average nominal price of middle-segment housing dropped by 0,4% year-on-year in March 2009.
