Microsoft says it will offer Windows users the choice to switch to a different web browser, in an attempt to appease European regulators.
Microsoft on Monday warned of a flawed software in Internet Explorer that hackers can exploit to take over some computers.
Internet Explorer 8 is much snappier and far more secure than IE6 and IE7 and has some innovative features that are not available elsewhere.
