The 19th South African Music Awards (Sama) ceremony are taking place this weekend and will be broadcast live on SABC 1 at 20.30pm on Saturday night.
Kerkorrel’s contribution to the country will be recognised with a lifetime achievement award at this year’s Samas.
Sizwe Zako, Dr Thomas Chauke and the late Johannes Kerkorrel have been announced as this year’s Sama lifetime achievement award recipients.
