Herman Mashaba says the issue was brought to his attention two weeks ago
Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba visited the Setswetla settlement on Thursday to survey the damage to the area.
The "Find & Fix" mobile app will assist citizens to report potholes, faulty traffic lights and any other infrastructure issues related to the JRA.
The Johannesburg Roads Agency is spending R77-million on filling 17Â 000 potholes and upgrading road infrastructure by the end of September.

The City of Johannesburg on Wednesday launched a timetable of possible four-hour power cuts to help industry and residents plan ahead. The timetable, effective from March 1, divides the city into eight geographic blocks and sets out the times when planned power cuts could occur, explained Vally Padayachee, director of engineering operations for City Power.

Saving electricity and promoting energy efficiency must be a top priority in 2008, Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa said in his State of the Province address on Monday. "The future was rosy on December 31 2007, but suddenly everyone is buying candles and researching property in Perth," Shilowa said in Johannesburg. He also discussed transport improvements planned for 2008.
