Germany said on Wednesday it had foiled a ”massive” attack with the arrest of three Islamic extremists who were targeting airports, as well as bars and discotheques used by Americans. ”They were planning massive attacks,” Federal Prosecutor Monika Harms said.
Two men accused of attempted murder after a brutal racist attack on a German citizen told federal investigators on Friday that they had nothing to do with the assault. ”Both of the accused denied having anything to do with the crime and presented an alibi,” federal prosecutor Kay Nehm told reporters in the south-western city of Karlsruhe.

A German court on Tuesday quashed the hopes of a group of naturists who wanted to cycle along the Rhine river wearing nothing more than a smile. The group of 12 naturists was planning to cycle along the Rhine in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg on Saturday as part of what it was dubbing "World Nude Cycling Day".
