FBJ chief rubbishes SAHRC findings

Abbey Makoe, chairperson of the Forum of Black Journalists (FBJ), has lashed out at a South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) finding regarding a controversial FBJ meeting where white journalists were barred based on the colour of their skin, calling it "nothing more than a judicial ambush" and a "banning order".

SA journalists stopped at Zim border

Two 702 Eyewitness News journalists were expelled from Zimbabwe after they tried to enter the country at the Beit Bridge border post on Friday afternoon, the station said. Journalists Jean Jacques Cornish and Sheldon Morais were detained and questioned but were released after more than three-and-a-half hours.
